- Excessive heat occurred in northern Argentina Tuesday and it will shift into center west and center south Brazil late this week and into early next week
- Limited rainfall is expected in center west, center south and northeastern Brazil through the next ten days
- The combined impact of hot temperatures and dry biased conditions in northern and central Brazil crop areas will lead to rapid drying and a developing stressful environment for summer crops
- Argentina should see a good mix of weather during the next ten days supporting crops and fieldwork
- Europe and the western CIS will continue in a wetter biased weather mode for the next ten days
- Rain is still needed in eastern Spain, North Africa, the lower Danube River Basin and southern Ukraine
- China weather will remain favorable
- India’s southern rainfall pattern will end late this week with welcome drying to follow
- Australia’s showers will not be enough to change the moisture profile or very many crops
- U.S. hard red winter wheat areas, the central Midwest and west Texas will be mostly dry for the next ten days except for a few brief showers from West Texas to southeastern Oklahoma briefly late this week

WORLD WEATHER HIGHLIGHTS FOR NOVEMBER 7, 2023
- Southern Brazil will continue to dry down until the weekend and next week when frequent rain will resume resulting in disruptions to farming activity and the eventual saturation of soil
- Center west and center south Brazil will experience net drying during the next ten days with temperatures rising above normal
- Argentina will see a good mix of weather during the next two weeks supporting summer crop planting and development
- Southern India will be wetter than usual for several more days before drying evolves
- Australia showers will be welcome, but come too late for winter crops in the west and resulting rainfall will be too light for many summer crop areas in Queensland and northern New South Wales
- Europe and the western CIS will see frequent rain for a while bolstering soil moisture in some areas and making the soil a little too wet in other areas
- China’s snowstorm in the northeast is ending
- China’s Yangtze River Basin will be wettest for a while, but the moisture will be good for rapeseed establishment
- U.S. hard red winter wheat areas, the central Midwest and west Texas will be dry for the next ten days

WORLD WEATHER HIGHLIGHTS FOR NOVEMBER 6, 2023
- Central Mato Grosso and central Minas Gerais reported locally heavy rainfall Friday into Saturday while other center west and center south crop areas reported scattered showers and thunderstorms of light to moderate intensity
- All of the rain was welcome and good in easing dryness, but some areas received much less rain than other areas and net drying resulted
- Southern Brazil experienced drier weather during the weekend, but waves of rain will be returning later this week and especially next week when the rain will become heavy
- Center west and center south Brazil rainfall is expected to be erratic and lighter than usual during the next ten days while temperatures are warm; net drying is expected from southern Mato Grosso and northern Mato Grosso do Sul to Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo
- Argentina will see a good mix of rain and sunshine during the next two weeks (especially in the central and east) while temperatures are seasonable; the greatest rain is expected in the north this week and in the central and east next week
- East-central Australia rainfall during the weekend and a few lingering showers in the coming week to ten days will be good for dryland sorghum, cotton and other crops that may be planted soon in the wetter areas; much more rain is needed, though
- Western Australia, South Australia and Victoria may get some rain in the next ten days, though that in the west will come too late to change winter crop production potentials
- Andhra Pradesh, India received some welcome rain during the weekend easing long term dryness and more rain is expected this week along with other areas in southern India
- Good harvest weather is likely elsewhere in India
- Europe and the western CIS will be wet biased for much of the next ten days to two weeks bolstering soil moisture for crop use in 2024
- North Africa still needs rain and will only see some coastal showers this week

- Another wind and rain storm is coming to Western Europe tonight and Saturday producing excessive wind, heavy rain and localized flooding.
- Waves of rain will continue to keep western Europe west with local flooding expected eventually
- Central America flooding is expected from northeastern Nicaragua through eastern and northern Honduras to Belize over the next several days with wet weather in other parts of the region
- Additional rain in Argentina overnight has made the past two days of rain ideal for soybean, corn and sunseed planting and winter wheat development in Buenos Aires will benefit as well
- Argentina will see beneficial drying through Tuesday and then some mid- to late-week rain next week in central and eastern parts of the nation maintaining moisture abundance
- Western Argentina is going to need more rain soon
- Southern Brazil heavy rain evolved Thursday and will linger today, but end tonight with dry weather expected through mid-week next week finally helping flood water to abate
- More rain is expected later next week and into the following weekend, though
- Mato Grosso to northeastern Brazil and some northern center south crop areas will get rain Saturday into Wednesday and then trend drier again; the moisture will offer temporary improvement and provide relief from recent dryness, but much more rain will still be needed
- Limited or erratic rainfall is expected in center west and northeastern Brazil during the November 11-17 period

- Storm in northwestern Europe produced 128 mph wind speeds in the northwestern tip of France, brought power outages to millions of people in northwestern Europe and induced property damage Wednesday into today
- Another storm is expected Friday into Saturday that will also induce some damage, but it will be less impactful relative to today’s storm
- Waves of rain will continue to keep western Europe west with local flooding expected eventually
- Central America flooding is expected from northeastern Nicaragua through eastern and northern Honduras to Belize over the next several days with wet weather in other parts of the region
- Rain has evolved in Argentina with sufficient amounts bolstering soil moisture for improved summer crop planting conditions
- Southern Brazil is expecting another bout of flooding rainfall today and Friday followed by drying from Saturday through Wednesday before more rain falls periodically into the following weekend

WORLD WEATHER HIGHLIGHTS FOR NOVEMBER 1, 2023
- An intense storm bearing down on the U.K. and northwestern France today will produce excessive wind that will knock out power, damage trees and induce some structural damage; heavy; heavy rain is also expected to accompany the storm
- A succession of storms coming into western Europe during the balance of this week will induce moderate to heavy rain in waves that will further saturate the soil and may eventually lead to some flooding in western France, the U.K., northwestern Spain, northern Portugal, Italy and the eastern Adriatic Sea nations
- Excessive rain and flooding may be coming to parts of Central America later this week and into the weekend as tropical disturbance enhances a wet biased pattern further
- Eastern Australia’s dryland sorghum and cotton areas will get some welcome rain in the next week to ten days to improve planting conditions, although western parts of the production region may not get much “significant” rain; eastern areas in southeastern Queensland and northeastern New South Wales will be wettest
- Western Australia dryness will prevail into mid-month
- Southwestern Mato Grosso and portions of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil will miss rainfall during the next ten days
- The remainder of Mato Grosso and areas east southeast through Tocantins and northern Goias to northern Minas Gerais, Bahia and southern Piaui will receive greater shower and thunderstorm activity Sunday through next week offering temporary improvements in soil moisture for planting and early season crop development in soybean, corn, rice and other crop areas
- Another wave of heavy rain is expected in interior southern Brazil and southern Paraguay Thursday into Saturday resulting in more flooding and possible crop damage
- Argentina rainfall today and Thursday will improve topsoil moisture once again in key summer grain and oilseed production areas for better planting and emergence conditions; some southern wheat areas will also benefit from the moisture
- Unusual warmth in eastern Europe and western parts of the CIS will help winter crops become better established after recent precipitation especially in parts of Ukraine and Russia’s Southern Region
- Cold in the U.S. will be abating in the second half of this week, but frost and freezes occurred southward into Texas, the northern Delta and Tennessee River Basin this morning
- U.S. hard red winter wheat areas will be dry over the next week to ten days as will west Texas cotton harvest areas
- U.S. southeastern states will continue drought stricken for the next ten days to two weeks with no relief likely
- Tropical Storm Pilar will begin moving away from Central America tonight and Thursday ending heavy rain in El Salvador, costal Honduras and a few areas in northwestern Nicaragua

- Center west Brazil rainfall will continue restricted into the weekend with increasing shower activity next week
- Southern Brazil will receive additional waves of heavy rainfall into Friday before several days of drying finally evolves
- Additional flooding is expected and concern over replanting of summer crops will remain
- Argentina will receive enough rain Wednesday and Thursday to bolster soil moisture in summer crop planting areas so that aggressive planting can occur later in November; some showers are expected today as well
- Argentina will receive additional rain during mid-week next week, although will be mostly in the east-central and northeast
- Rain advertised in northeastern Brazil during the second half of this week and into the weekend will moisten the topsoil for planting
- Freezing temperatures this morning and those expected Wednesday and Thursday in the southern United States will be earlier than usual, but the impact on unharvested crops should be low
- U.S. weather will trend much warmer this weekend into next week
- U.S. summer crop harvest weather should be mostly good, although there will be some periodic delays
- U.S. hard red winter wheat areas will be dry for a while
- Texas cotton harvesting will advance swiftly following this week’s freezes with no rain expected for at least ten days
- Western Europe will continue quite wet for an extended period of time
- Flooding possible in portions of the Adriatic Sea nation’s including Italy

- Southeastern Europe (including the Black Sea region) will be dry biased for a while, although some showers are expected
