WORLD WEATHER HIGHLIGHTS FOR APRIL 10, 2023
- No relief is expected to drying in Spain, Portugal or North Africa over the next ten days
- Rain will continue in the remainder of Europe, including Belarus, Ukraine and Russia’s Southern Region over the next ten days
- Canada’s Prairies will be mostly dry except near the front range of mountains in Alberta and across northern parts of that province during mid-week this week
- U.S. west-central and southwestern Plains are still advertised to be dry over the next ten days
- California and the southwestern desert region will be dry biased for the next ten days
- Abundant rain in the U.S. southeastern states and lower Delta during the weekend delayed fieldwork
- The heart of the U.S. Midwest will receive below normal precipitation over the next ten days
- Very warm U.S. temperatures are expected this week with some cooling possible next week in the east half of the nation
- Watch for frost and some freezes next week, although confidence in the timing and intensity of the cold is still very low
- Aggressive snowmelt is expected this week in the Red River Basin of the North
- Argentina weather will remain drier biased in some central and southern crop areas this week
- Brazil will be dry in the south through mid-week and then may see a boost in precipitation late this week and especially next week
- Center south Brazil will get timely rainfall over the next couple of weeks with the greatest rain next week
- China weather remains quite favorable along with that of India and Australia for this time of year
- South Africa weather is typical for early April as well
- Some rain is needed in cotton areas of West Africa
