WORLD WEATHER HIGHLIGHTS FOR FRIDAY, JULY 11, 2025
- No blocking ridge of high pressure is expected over North America for the next ten days
- Unusually cold weather is expected in the central United States and south-central Canada during the coming week to ten days
- Portions of interior western and northern Russia may also be cooler than usual during the next ten days
- Rain is still predicted in most U.S. crop areas during the coming ten days with some of it heavy at times especially early to mid-week next week as unusually colder air moves southward from Canada into a warm and humid environment in the central and eastern states
- France and the lower Danube River Basin will continue to experience poor rainfall for the next ten days and temperatures will be warmer than usual at times, although not as oppressively hot as that of earlier this month
- Western and northern Russia will see wave of rain maintaining moist conditions
- Eastern Ukraine, Russia's Southern Region and western Kazakhstan will see good harvest weather for a while, but some timely rain may come along later next week and into the latter part of this month periodically to support summer crops
- China weather should be well mixed, although a small part of east-central China may be drier than usual
- No changes in Australia, Brazil or Argentina weather
- Argentina's western wheat and barley areas will get some rain today and more generalized rain is likely in much of the wheat region next week
- Southern India may finally get "some" needed rain later this month, but the central north and east will be wettest in this coming week
