CHANGES SINCE FRIDAY
- France is advertised to get rain next week
- Germany will get drought relief beginning in the second half of this week into early next week
- Western Russia, Ukraine temperatures turned warmer than usual during the weekend accelerating a drying trend already under way in Russia’s Southern region
- Drying in Russia’s Southern region has accelerated to the north into the Ural Mountains region and Volga River Basin recently and it will continue through mid-week
- Rain in Russia’s Southern region may not resume for at least ten days while cooling and showers occur to the north and west later this week and during the weekend
- Weekend frost and freezes occurred in the Russia New Lands without permanent crop damage
- East-central China (including the Yellow River Basin) continues to dry out and another ten days of the same is expected (week 2 rain advertised Friday was removed)
- Safrinha corn and cotton areas of center west and interior southern Brazil will get some needed rain Tuesday and Wednesday
- S. holiday weekend rainfall was abundant to excessive in portions of the southern Plains and middle and lower Delta with more rain into mid-week
- Canada’s Prairies will experience net drying this week along with above normal temperatures further stressing crops in the dry areas
- Some increase in precipitation may impact Alberta and southeastern parts of the Canada Prairies this weekend and next week as cooling begins
- Western Australia will get some periodic rain beginning late this week and continuing into next week
- Mexico’s monsoon is expected to strengthen in the south this week and spread some showers to central areas next week
